Rabbi Avraham Cohen
Rabbi Cohen is Head Rabbi of Ohr HaTorah. Rabbi Avraham Cohen is also an inspired educator and Director of the Jean and Theodore Weiss Partners in Torah program of Yeshiva Beth Yehudah. Under his direction, the Yeshiva Beth Yehudah Partners in Torah program has flourished, and now draws 300 students every Tuesday evening at the Yeshiva boys' campus. A faculty member of SAJE (Seminars for Jewish Adult Enrichment), an active participant and consultant in Federation's Alliance for Jewish Education, Rabbi Cohen is also a practicing mohel and Torah scribe.
Rabbi Shmuel Aboud
Rabbi Aboud is the Assistant Rabbi of Ohr HaTorah and 4th grade rebbi at Yeshiva Beth Yehuda. Rabbi Aboud provides not only a derasha after Kabbalat Shabbat but also presents an engaging and dynamic halacha class between minha and arvit on Shabbat. Born in New York of Syrian and Turkish background, Rabbi Aboud learned in Belle Harbor for high school and bet midrash, then at the Mir in Israel. Once married he learned in Lakewood and in Rav Yaakov Hillel’s Ahavat Shalom in Israel before coming to Michigan to learn in the Beth Yehuda Kollel.
Hazzan Dr. Daniel Mizrahi
Hazzan Mizrahi is truly a gifted and world-class Hazzan whose tefillah enables the kehilla to connect to Hashem in a much deeper way. In addition to leading Ohr HaTorah in tefillah, Dr. Mizrahi runs a successful Internal Medicine practice.
Rabbi Avraham Mifsud
Rabbi Mifsud is founder and gabbai of Ohr HaTorah and also the founder of NASO, which provides educational programs, counseling and guidance for families. Before the formation of NASO, Rabbi Mifsud was the local director of Agudath Israel's Project YES for Rabbi Yakov Horowitz.
